Hypnobirth Classes!

Well this should be exciting! This coming Monday Flavio and I will be going to our first Hypnobirthing Classes. My midwife Jeanette Yorgason, recommended Hypnobirthing if you want the best chance at going naturally, and she gave me the name of Claire Stanley for the classes. Our classes will be at the U Hospital for 5 weeks.

By the way, we find out the GENDER of our baby in 11 DAYS!

Birth.  I wouldn't be surprised if many people if not all, grow up hearing that labor is so painful, and the hardest, worst thing haha.
I like that with hypnobirthing I will learn to stop thinking that way, and start thinking in more positive ways. I have found out that hypnobirthing entails deep relaxation. One website, I can't remember where, explained how we are "hypnotized" in a sense when we are watching a movie for example, or engrossed in a book. When I read that, it helped me to better understand.
Being a member of the Church you might hear "hypno" and think Nope can't do that! Well I looked in the Church Handbook #2 and it says:

"The use of hypnosis under competent, professional medical supervision for the treatment of diseases or mental disorders is a medical question to be determined by competent medical authorities. Members should not participate in hypnosis for purposes of demonstration or entertainment."
So, I am good to go! I do not plan on entertaining anyone with our baby's birth, or demonstrating anything haha so this will be fine.

Flavio is so supportive, and said that after trying one thing, if I don't like it, I can try another!
With hypnobirthing, I will learn to relax, and visualize, and I will be in better control of my body, and I will think positively about birth, and learn to replace words like pain with sensation, and contraction with surge. This will be very enlightening!

If I don't like this, I'll check out the bradley method..
And, if I want, I'll make my own method! Hypnobradley! hahahaha Or HypnoFlavio! :D
Wish us Luck!

Castellano:
Nuestro Primer Hijo o Hija! :)

English:
Our First Child! :)
We go to a midwife, (I'm not sure if it really matters, midwife..doctor), and in the office there is an ultrasound machine so each time we've been able to see the growth of our baby. This ultrasound was very nice, because our baby looked more like a baby now, and it was cool to see him/her move, and he/she moved a lot! We also saw the face, and Flavio saw the baby smile! :)

I am now 15 weeks pregnant. 25 weeks left! Flavio is very excited and happy to be a Pa! And he is going to be an amazing Pa! Flavio likes to give our baby a kiss on my belly :)

Bautismo! Baptism!

English:
On Saturday, an 8 year old boy named Alex got baptized in our ward. We had such little notice of the baptism, so we hurried to get things ready, and work together with the Missionaries and the Bishop. We got the baptism program ready with the help of members and one of the ward missionaries. While my husband had to work, I was able to attend the baptism. I was so impressed by the love and kindness of the members. Norma Pahl, for example, got a text from me about Alex's baptism and previous birthday, and brought a towel with his name on it. My mom got Alex a card and some candy. It was sweet to see Alex sharing the candy. I asked Alex how he felt when he went into the water, he said scared. :)
I think it would be a good idea to ask our recent converts to the Church, what they feel could be done to improve baptisms in the future, what will help the investigator feel more comfortable. I think it's normal to be nervous. But what would be great would be for people to feel at peace and comfortable. But there are also nerves and excitement. :) On Sunday Alex was confirmed and his little sister had her baby blessing.

Flavio and I were talking with his parents about their future visit to us here in Utah. We will bless our baby when his dad is able to be here, no matter when that is. :) We are excited for them to come and share special times with them, since they were not able to be here for our sealing. It's so cool that Flavio and his family and now me, have the opportunity to claim Italian citizenship as well as Argentine, and for me and Flavio, US citizenship as well some day, for Flavio.

It would be cool to have a global citizenship. A global citizen passport. A global citizen Flag...ooh, I think I will make one.
That's cool for the world, but then we have the Church and the Gospel.
We can have a flag for the Kingdom! We are all sons and daughters of a King.

En Busqueda y Resultados! In Search of and Results!

Bueno, no actualizado a diario, pero todavia bueno :)                            Ok, not updated daily, but still pretty good :)

Guau!

3 semanas LMP: 5-50 mUI / ml
4 semanas LMP: 5 a 426 mUI / ml
5 semanas LMP: 18 - 7340 mUI / ml
6 semanas LMP: 1.080 - 56.500 mUI / ml
7 - 8 semanas FUR: 7, 650 - 229 000 mUI / ml
9-12 semanas FUR: 25.700 - 288.000 mUI / ml
13 a 16 semanas FUR: 13.300 - 254.000 mUI / ml
17 a 24 semanas FUR: 4060 - 165 400 mUI / ml
25 - 40 semanas FUR: 3640 - 117 000 mUI / ml

So I have been feeling cold, and then yesterday I felt so lightheaded and kind of dizzy that I was concerned about ectopic pregnancy. I looked around and finally found the Avenues Women's Center/Clinic and went to get a blood test. They checked my HCG levels, Progesterone, and Thyroid. Results are in and are normal, and the information is quite interesting.

According to this website: http://americanpregnancy.org/duringpregnancy/hcglevels.html
my HCG levels are a bit on the higher side of the range given (which varies) for pregnancy of 5 weeks, which is fine, and could mean the possibility of MULTIPLES. Well now! Wouldn't that be interesting, Twins for me and Flavio?? Or it could be molar pregnancy, I hope not, anyway, who knows...but for now, at least the levels are good, I am pregnant, about 5 weeks and 1 day along, feeling a bit unpleasant, but no major nausea, which I'm grateful for. I was told to eat  a high protein, low carb diet....well the Bruges waffle I had for lunch today was just a must-have haha, but I made sure to eat some almonds and have some milk after for some protein. My thyroid came back normal as well, so that is fabulous! And the Progesterone is at 14.7.
So here is the chart of HCG levels.

Guideline to hCG levels during pregnancy:

hCG levels in weeks from LMP (gestational age):
  • 3 weeks LMP: 5 – 50 mIU/ml
  • 4 weeks LMP: 5 – 426 mIU/ml
  • 5 weeks LMP: 18 – 7,340 mIU/ml
  • 6 weeks LMP: 1,080 – 56,500 mIU/ml
  • 7 – 8 weeks LMP: 7, 650 – 229,000 mIU/ml
  • 9 – 12 weeks LMP: 25,700 – 288,000 mIU/ml
  • 13 – 16 weeks LMP: 13,300 – 254,000 mIU/ml
  • 17 – 24 weeks LMP: 4,060 – 165,400 mIU/ml
  • 25 – 40 weeks LMP: 3,640 – 117,000 mIU/ml
  • Non-pregnant females: <5.0 mIU/ml
  • Postmenopausal females: <9.5 mIU/ml
* These numbers are just a GUIDELINE– every woman’s level of hCG can rise differently. It is not necessarily the level that matters but rather the change in the level.

So as you can see, I'm barely at 5 weeks and 1 day today, and I'm already at 8,397, and this number doubles about every 3 days for a while.
Now, Since I read all those bad reviews about the clinic, and the doctor, I'm not sure if I want to go there.....the search continues...I'll probably go to the first visit and see how it goes...
