Birth Class #2 Clase de Nacimiento #2

We Love this class!! Class #2 was great!! We learned so much, more breathing techniques, different massage techniques, infant bonding. Love it!! I highlyyyy recommend this class!!!

We learned about important things to protect one baby is born such as waiting to cut the cord, until more blood flows to baby from the placenta, and the benefits of baby being skin to skin with mom, to regulate temperature, heartbeat, and help induce the natural feeding instincts. It was so cool. I love all the learning and the teacher also has a great sense of humor, the class is great!!!

It's cool to see a replica of a pelvis, and how baby rotates, and ideal positioning for baby. We get packets of information which I enjoy. We have our hypnosis cd, which put me to sleep haha, which is totally okay!

Now, it's time to practice and study! I also really like the positive affirmations. The key is to becoming relaxed during contractions, and we have an article called "Mindful breathing" that I will read today.

I love Tuesday nights! :)

Seeing an Opportunity and Taking it! Viendo una oportunidad, y tomandola!

Thank goodness for cookies!

Well, the Missionaries were coming over to our home last night, so we stopped to get a treat to share. We got some Oreo's and other chocolate chip cookies! On our way home, we saw some little neighbor kids playing on their bikes! I thought one of them was part of a family who are members, but then I realized that they were all our next door neighbors, who are not members yet. They were such cuties, they started smiling and waving at us, so I smiled and waved back! They were very sweet! I went over to them and shared the cookies, and the dad and grandma were outside too. They are Brisa who is 2yrs old, Yair or Jair (not sure how to spell it) he's a little boy maybe 7 or 8.., Anthony maybe 6 or 7 yrs old (I'm not good at guessing these ages), the dad Jose, and his mother in law Eloisa and the mom Dolores who was inside their home. 

I told them about the Primary. It was great to now be more in tune, so If I see little kids I can think, Primary, share the gospel! 

"and a little child shall lead them"  now isn't that a scripture? Perhaps the children can lead their parents to the Gospel! 

Well that was the first step, getting to know the neighbors by a first introduction. Now, to continue to be a good neighbor, and share things about our selves and our lives with them. I just had an idea, maybe the little kids would like a subscription to the friend magazine, and the parents, perhaps a Liahona! :) What great tools, and they are very inexpensive! 

There is a great need, for parents to teach their children the Gospel. Parents need to prepare their kids even before they are born, for missionary work. How can this be done? By the parents preparing themselves, by being married/sealed in the Temple, and living righteous lives, and then the children come and parents need to continue living righteously and showing/teaching their children by their example, what it means to live the Gospel. 

Church is not the focus, the Home is the focus.  We need to "strengthen home and family". 

It's going to be so fun to meet all the little primary children, and show Heavenly Father's love to them and smile at them. I am excited to help them have a reverent and wonderful time in Primary! 

It's so funny, the reason Primary started in Farmington UT over 100 years ago in the first place. 

It was because there were rowdy little boys, that they wondered what to do with. They decided to do a group for them, but wanted their to be singing, so figured the girl's voices would make the singing sound better, so they ended up organizing the Primary organization. hahahah! 

I really feel like in Primary we can have fun, and totally and completely enjoy it, and have a wonderful time and feel the Spirit! Being reverent and helping children be reverent doesn't have to be an angry disciplinary thing at all!! I will do my best to help children be reverent in a loving, cheerful way. 

Another subject! So the Missionaries came to our home, and I'm very grateful for the Spirit we felt. The Spirit is the best, we must strive to invite Him in our hearts, lives and homes. There are many ways to do this. One way- Invite the Missionaries over to your home!! :)

Que bueno que existen las galletas!

Bueno, los misioneros venían a nuestra casa ayer por la noche, así que nos detuvimos para conseguir un regalo para compartir. Compramos los Oreo's y otras galletas de chocolate! De camino a casa, vimos algunos pequeños niños del vecindario jugando en sus bicicletas! Pensé que uno de ellos era parte de una familia que son miembros, pero luego aprendi de que todos ellos eran nuestros vecinos del lado, que no son miembros todavía. Comenzaron a sonreir y saludar a nosotros, así que sonreí y le devolví el saludo! Fueron muy dulce! Me acerqué a ellos y compartí las cookies, y el padre y la abuela estaban afuera también. Son Brisa, que tiene 2 años de edad, Yair o Jair (no sé cómo se escribe) es un niño tal vez 7 u 8 .., Anthony quizás 6 o 7 años de edad (no soy bueno para adivinar estas edades), el padre José, y su suegra Eloisa y la madre, Dolores, que estaba dentro de su hogar.

Les hablé de la Primaria. Fue genial estar ahora más en sintonía, así que si veo a los niños pequeños que se me ocurre, Primaria, compartir el evangelio!

"Y un pequeño niño los pastoreará" ahora no es esto una escritura? Tal vez los niños pueden llevar a sus padres al Evangelio!

Bueno, eso fue el primer paso, conocer a los vecinos por una primera introducción. Ahora, para seguir siendo un buen vecino y compartir cosas sobre nosotros mismos y nuestras vidas con ellos. Acabo de tener una idea, tal vez los niños pequeños les gustaría una suscripción a la revista amigo, y los padres, tal vez una Liahona! :) ¿Qué grandes herramientas, y son muy baratos!

Hay una gran necesidad, para que los padres enseñen a sus hijos el Evangelio. Los padres deben preparar a sus hijos incluso antes de nacer, para la obra misional. ¿Cómo puede hacerse esto? Por los padres que se preparan, por estar casado / sellado en el templo, y vivir una vida recta, y luego los niños vendran y los padres tienen que seguir viviendo con rectitud y mostrar / enseñar a sus hijos con su ejemplo, lo que significa vivir el Evangelio.

La Iglesia/Capilla no es el enfoque, el hogar es el enfoque. Es necesario "fortalecer el hogar y la familia".

Va a ser muy divertido conocer todos los pequeños niños de primaria, y mostrar el amor de nuestro Padre Celestial hacia ellos y sonreirles. Hare mi mejor esfuerzo para ayudarles a tener un momento reverente y maravillosa en la Primaria!

Es muy chistoso, la razón principal por la cual se inició en Farmington UT hace más de 100 años, en el primer lugar.

Era porque había niños pequeños ruidosos, que se preguntaban qué hacer. Decidieron hacer un grupo para ellos, pero querían que hubieran canciones, por lo que pensaron que las voces de las niñas haría el sonido canto mejor, así que formaron la organización de la Primaria. jajaja!

Realmente me siento como en la Primaria podemos divertirnos y disfrutar total y completamente, y tener un tiempo maravilloso y sentir el Espíritu! Ser reverente y ayudar a que los niños sean reverentes no tiene que ser una cosa disciplinaria enojado en absoluto! Haré mi mejor esfuerzo para ayudar a los niños a ser reverente de una manera amorosa y alegre.

Otro tema! Así que los misioneros llegaron a nuestra casa, y estoy muy agradecido por el Espíritu que nos sentimos. El Espíritu es el mejor, debemos esforzarnos para invitar a Él en nuestros corazones, vidas y hogares. Hay muchas maneras de hacer esto. ! Una manera-Invite a los misioneros a su casa! :)

4:30am....I am usually asleep at this time. But today....I had to go to the restroom!! And, I was starving! hahahaha this is too funny!



4:30am...Normalmente estoy dormida a esa hora. Pero hoy...tuve que ir al baño!! Y, senti que tuve tantooo hambre! jaja

Birth Class!!! Clase de Parto!!!

Tonight was our first night doing the birthing classes! The class is called Birth Hypnosis & "U" and  teaches aspects of self-hypnosis, so it's not technically a hypno babies or hypno birthing class, but the teacher likes to combine aspects of it all.

I enjoyed it so much!! Everyone brought their husband, and every one is a first time mom. Some have other issues than others. It was fun to get to know everyone as we all introduced ourselves. The teacher, Kristine is so fun and funny! I enjoyed the relaxation exercise, and I love learning. This is going to be wonderful!

I'm so excited and I'll do my best to prepare myself. It's amazing to watch the women give birth, and have it be so peaceful :)

Our homework is to listen to the cd daily, practice affirmations, bring our review of the cd and bring pillows next time to class (and snack/water). Our class if 6:30 to 9PM.

Esta noche fue nuestra primera vez en la clase de parto. Se llama Hipnosis de Parto y Vos y enseña aspectos de hipnosis de uno mismo, asi que no es tecnicamente hipno bebe o hipno parto clases, sino combina aspectos de ambos, y cuando hablo del hipnosis, no es lo que pensas, es nada mas que un estado de profunda relajacion, y lo que me gusta mucho tambien es que vamos a cambiar nuestros pensamientos del subconsciente, de temores, o falsas creencias sobre el parto, a creencias positivas!

Lo disfrute tanto!! Todos trajeron a su esposo, y cada mujer es mama por primera vez! Otros tiene unos asuntos, y otros tienen otros. Como una es bipolar, otra tiene riesgo de coagulos de sangre, otra hinchazon, etc.  Fue muy divertido presentarnos! La maestra Kristine es tan divertida y chistosa! Disfrute la actividad de relajacion. Me encanta lo que estamos aprendiendo. Esto va a ser maravilloso!!

Estoy tan animada, y hare mi mejor esfuerzo para prepararme. Tengo suerte porque yo soy la que tiene menos tiempo de embarazada que todas las demas, asi que me puedo preparar muy bien con mas tiempo :) jaja
Es maravilloso ver a mujeres dar a luz, y que haya tanta paz.
Nuestra tarea is escuchar diariamente al cd, practicar diciendo y pensando afirmaciones, (pensamientos positivos sobre el parto, y el cuerpo, etc.), lleval almohadas a la proxima clase, y hacer un repaso del cd, podemos llevar un snack/agua si queremos, o la cena misma jaja! Nuestra clase es de 18:30 horas a 21 horas. Arriba hay una foto de nuestra carpeta de la clase con informacion y actividades.

Llamados a Servir!

El Domingo pasado fuimos a nuestro nuevo barrio por primera vez. Es un barrio donde se hablan español.
Este Miercoles de la semana pasada, nuestra vecina Tatiana vino con cartas del Obispado. Adentro recibimos lo que fue nuestros primeros invitaciones para discursar. A Flavio le toco hablar sobre la Constancia en el Evangelio, y a mi, me toco hablar sobre el Defender La Verdad y la Rectitud.
Las mujeres jovenes cantaron una muy linda cancion en la reunion Sacramental, y tambien compartieron sobre su experiencia esta semana pasada en el campamento de mujeres jovenes. Hicieron muchisimos relevaciones de llamamientos hoy, y despues hicieron muchos sostenimientos de nuevos llamamientos dados. Flavio recibio el llamamiento de servir como primer consejero de la presidencia de los hombres jovenes. Yo recibi el llamamiento de servir como segunda consejera en la presidencia de la primaria. Estamos listos para empezar nuestro servicio! Estamos felices que nos han dado oportunidades para servir. Hoy nos apartaron y bendijeron en nuestros nuevos llamamientos, y tambien tuvimos una entrevista con el Obispo para conocernos mejor.

Lo que a mi me gusto mucho, fue de que el Obispo nos dijo que oraron para saber que llamamiento darnos. Respeto mucho cuando los lideres del Sacerdocio actuan de la manera correcta. Da mucho confianza.

Sobre todo, yo senti, como....dispuesta para servir, pero no quiero que la gente piensan que somos tan especiales, o buenos, etc etc. Somos hijos de nuestro Padre Celestial, agradecidos por todo que El da y hace por nosotros, y listos para servir.

Hace uno pensar en el servicio. Por que servir? Para buscar reconocimiento? Para hacerte sentir mejor que otros? No! Debemos servir para mostrar nuestro amor y gratitud hacia nuestro Padre y nuestro Salvador. Servir nos ayudara a ser felices, y a acercarnos mas a ellos, y a llegar a ser mas como ellos.

He tenido varios llamamientos en mi vida, y yo no creo que he hecho nunca todo lo posible para magnificarlos, siempre podria haber mejorado muchisimo, y haberme preparado mucho mas, y mucho mejor. Pero me sigue dando oportunidades de mejorar. Va a ser lindo tomar parte en preparar a los niños para compartir su programa en Noviembre.

Flavio y yo vamos a aprender mucho en nuestros nuevos llamamientos.

Una observacion que hice hoy: Nosotros decidimos que tipo de relacion queremos tener con los miembros del barrio. Somos sociables? Abrimos la boca y hablamos con la gente? Buscamos a los que no vienen a la Iglesia? Hay que seguir el ejemplo del Salvador y mostrar caridad hacia todos.

NEW HOME NUEVO HOGAR

We moved to a new home and I  LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!!!!!
It's So wonderful and I'm so thankful, it is a great blessing. I will be so happy to have our baby in this as her first home as a born person, haha.
If I would have lived in a mansion before, I may not have been able to appreciate this new home. We lived in a basement before, there was not a lot of light, hardly any natural light at all actually, unless it was day time and you left the door open. So also there was not a lot of fresh air circulation. Leaving the door open, let flies and bugs inside. In this new home, there are large windows, that we can open and the screen prevents the flies and bugs from coming in! There are stairs too, which is great because it gives us some exercise going up and down up and down! I'm grateful for a shower/tub! The basement only had a small shower, but the new home has a whole bath tub and the shower head, it is so nice.
I was talking/singing to myself yesterday that I feel like I'm in a hotel! hahaha
We have a long ways to go before everything is put into its place but I am so happy to be here in our new home. I pray for the Spirit to be in our home.
I'm excited to make this a very nice home. I am excited to fill this home with righteous things like family home evening, scripture study, journal writing, prayers of gratitude, hard work, fun, creativity and service.

What do you make of your home? It's not so much about how big or small it is, or if there's a lot of natural light, however these are such great bonuses! But no matter we live, we should strive to make our home a place of peace, a place where the Spirit loves to dwell. We should keep them clean and tidy, and fill it with kind words and uplifting music.
It's fun and exciting to have a new beginning. We are also going to start attending a new ward. I thought perhaps we can call the Relief Society President/Bishop/Missionaries assigned to the ward before Sunday, to see if there's something we can do to help.

Do you have a car? We can use our cars to be of service, and give someone a ride to church!
I hope to be a help to our new ward and to develop more Christlike attributes. I hope to be better at fulfilling my callings, especially visiting teaching. Hoping is nice, but doing, and being consistent, is better.

Here's to our new beginning!

Nos mudamos a otro hogar y me reeee encanta!!
Es tan hermoso y estoy muy agradecida, es una gran bendición! Estare tan feliz recibir a nuestra hija en esto como su primer hogar como una persona nacida jaja.
Si hubiera yo vivido en una mansión antes de vivir aquí, tal vez no hubiera apreciado tanto a este nuevo hogar. Antes vivimos en un sotano. No había mucha luz, casi nada de hecho, de luz natural, a menos que sea de dia y la puerta queda abierta, pero asi entran los moscos etc. Pero tampoco había mucho aire fresco, a menos que abrimos esa misma puerta y dejamos entrar mas insectos al hogar jaja. En el nuevo hogar, hay escaleras que es muy bueno para el ejercicio! Estoy agradecida por el baño por que tiene bañero y la cosa para la ducha de arriba en la pared, el sotano solamente tenia un ducha pequeña.

Ayer me hable/cante diciendo que me siento que estoy en un hotel! Falta mucho para poner en su lugar y organizar, pero estoy feliz en nuestro nuevo hogar. Oro para que el Espiritu este en nuestro hogar. Estoy animada hacer de esto un lindo hogar. Estoy animada llenar el hogar con obras de rectitud como Noche de Hogar, Estudio de Escrituras, Escribir en diario, Oraciones de Gratitud, Trabajo Arduo, Diversion, Creatividad y Servicio.

Que haces de tu casa? No se trata tanto del tamaño de su hogar, o si hay mucha luz natural, sin embargo estas son cosas excelentes! Pero no importa donde uno vive, debemos esforzarnos hacer de nuestro hogar, un hogar de paz, un lugar donde el Espiritu le encanta morar. Debemos mantenerlos limpios y ordenados, y llenarlo con palabras tiernas y música que eleva al espíritu.
Es divertido y emocionante tener un nuevo comienzo. Tambien vamos a empezar a asistir a un nuevo barrio. Pense que tal vez podamos llamar a la Presidenta de la Sociedad de Socorro/El Obispo/Los Misioneros asignados al barrio, para preguntarles si hay algo que podemos hacer para ayudarles, tal vez llevar a alguien a la Iglesia este Domingo por ejemplo.

Tiene un auto? Podemos usar nuestro auto para servir, y llevar a alguien a la capilla.
Espero ser una ayuda al nuevo barrio, y desarrollar mas atributos de Cristo. Espero ser mejor en cumplir con mis llamamientos, especialmente la de ser maestra visitante. Esperar es bueno, pero hacer, y ser constante es mejor.
